Mr. Manikumar A/L S. Kanan founded the Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah (PPKKCTM) in 1992.Mr. Manikumars vision to ensure and provide to provide a better living environment for disabled and underprivileged children was realized. He was passionate in ensuring that these children are given equal stature and wanted their difficulties recognized. With his passing in 2003, a huge void was left in the organization, and eventually many other problems began to surface. PPKKCTM is in dire need of space. They need to accommodate all those poor children with sufficient support, leading them to purchase Lot 13488. Yet soon after another problem came tumbling down; the increasing cost of building a one-stop centre for these children that promised better facilities and care became a burden. Then there was the problem of unpaid medical fees. Some parents simply left their children there, only visiting for the first few months then they began to avoid calls from the center, making it seem like their children never existed.PPKKCTM may not be able to achieve its dream in helping assisting these children without help, and who else can help them if not us? People say sharing is caring. Helping is caring too.
